The climbing, jumping, cheeky phase of twins - family lifestyle session

I recently decided to take the plunge and book in some clients for family lifestyle sessions to see if I enjoy it/am good enough/clients like it.  I've never been sure whether to take my lifestyle photography down the business route but despite being rather quiet on Bexphoto for a while, I've been photographing more and more and loving it more and more.  The thing is, I've never done a "proper" session.  I'm always photographing the twins be it at home or at events but these are often random snippets of time rather than an hour or more specifically for a photo shoot.

I'll be interested to see what kind of shots I come away with when a) photographing someone else's family and b) shooting with the intention of capturing a family within a certain time-frame at a planned moment in time.  As I am just starting out in this vein, I asked friends and family initially, via my personal Facebook page, if they were interested in booking a reduced session and I've already got two solid bookings and three more enquiries which is fantastic!  I'll be posting the sessions here when they're done so look out for those, but in the mean time I had a little practice at trying to capture a few more intentional shots of the twins albeit for a mere 10 minutes.

When I say intentional, it was still spur of the moment.  We were all just chilling in the living room on Saturday morning, they had half their PJs on since having nappies changed but not yet dressed.  They had already started trashing the place, sofa cushions discarded so they could climb onto the massive windowsill and commence jumping, one of their current favourite pastimes!

And then there were crackers.

I'm not sure I've found a consistent style yet but hopefully clients will like what I have to offer.  There's only one way to find out...
