Updated: Dec 3, 2020
Even though our ADVENT adventures might be a bit different this year, depending on lockdown/social distancing rules, I'm still excited to plan a fun December for the twins! A few of our usual activities like our local Christmas Tree Festival have moved online so we can still enjoy them, just virtually.
With just 2 weeks to go until advent begins, I've been coming up with some new ideas for us to do safely at home in case we're unable to do other activities like ice-skating and panto but should those things be open/safely organised we will likely add them back in. You can see previous years' ADVENTure blog posts here.
This is always subject to change depending on weather/how busy we are, if it snows we'll add in sledging for example, if we have a super busy work/school day, I might switch out a planned activity for a chocolate or a Christmas film. This year we only have 3 weekends in December so we will probably choose our tree on 29th November but decorate it the following weekend.
Here's this year's list of ideas for Pandemic Advent Fun...
Decorate the house
Paint a Christmas decoration for the tree
Watch The Grinch
Virtual School Christmas Fair
Decorate the Tree
Surprise treat (chocolate)
Send letter to Santa
Watch Christmas Chronicles 2
Bake Gingerbread Men and Decorate Gingerbread House
Write and send Christmas Cards
Surprise treat (small festive gift)
Watch Frozen 2
Christmas Lunch at school (not sure if/when this is happening this year)
Donate to Uckfield Food Bank
Christmas Disco at home
Ice Skating at Calverly Grounds (if it's open as planned)
Decorate the Christmas Cake
Bake & Decorate Christmas Biscuits
Make the Christmas Ham
Christmas Eve box - a new film, chocolate popcorn and new Christmas PJs
