Photography Farm conference in Brighton

I was so excited to spend a whole day hanging out with awesome creatives in Brighton. I'd never heard of Photography Farm before but one of the ladies I'm in a group with alerted us to it and a few people were heading down and planning a catch up so I jumped at the chance to meet some of them in real life and booked the day off work!

Diana Hagues, of Water-in-my-Wellies fame, was coming down from Cambridgeshire and wasn't able to get there very early so I invited her to come down the night before and stay with us, it was so nice to finally meet her and we had a lovely evening talking all things photography over dinner and a bottle of fizz! We got up bright and early to drop my kids off at pre-school before getting the train down to Brighton to meet Laura for brunch.

We met at Cafe Coho which I've reviewed over on my Olive Dragonfly blog but suffice it to say, it was delicious and the perfect way to start the day before heading off to Jury's Inn for the Farm itself.

The whole day was so much fun! I didn't actually book onto any talks as I'd recently spent a lot on a couple of workshops so I just went for the trade show and the social aspect. I was surprised how quiet the trade show was but I guess people were in talks when we went for a wander round, it was great for us as we managed to talk to everyone we wanted to and learn about some new products. I loved meeting the Folio ladies I'd been emailing about my prints and album as well as discovering G.F. Smith albums which come in some awesome bright colours which instantly drew my eye!

The best bit was definitely meeting so many talented photographers I admire and getting to hang out with them all day. Loved it!
