THROUGH THE RAINBOW WINDOWS

A GALLERY OF JOY, HOPE AND COLOUR

DURING SOCIAL DISTANCING DUE TO CORONAVIRUS

I heard about the #ChaseTheRainbow project and wanted to take it a step further, I wanted to document not only the rainbows giving people joy from windows around the world but the life inside, through those rainbow windows.  Documenting family life during this time when we're spending almost all our time indoors.  It's a historic time, uncertain and scary, yes, but certainly historic and I wanted to create this collection to record the little snippets of real life still going on behind those windows.

There are two photos of each family - one staged - a proud portrait with the rainbows you've made.  The second one - purely documentary, whatever the family is getting up to that day - reading books, playing games, baking or just watching TV.  I'll collate them all here in this gallery and perhaps make a book out of them when this is all over.

If you'd like to take part, get in touch and I'll try to fit you in - social distancing/isolation is respected, we will communicate through messages and closed windows.  A suggested donation to Uckfield Foodbank is all I ask, if you can afford it, and you can download your photos to keep from the Facebook gallery.

If you're a photographer reading this and want to get involved in your local community, I've created a group for us to share, discuss and collate our images.
