I’m a photographer myself – London and Paris, families, couples and individuals – and let me tell you, I am infinitely happier behind the camera than in front of it. So when I needed my branding photos updated, there was only ever one person I was going to call, Bex.

Bex photographed my family years ago, and even though she’s since moved into branding photography, I knew without a doubt she was the one. And she did not disappoint.

First things first: Bex puts you completely at ease. I walked in braced for a day of cringey website photos and instead spent the whole thing giggling away, feeling like I was having a brilliant day out with a friend. That’s her gift. In fact, she makes her clients feel so wonderful that you walk away as actual friends. I know because I’ve met loads of them at the Christmas get-together she hosts every year so we can all finally meet in person. Who does that?!

But don’t let the warmth fool you into thinking it’s all fun and no substance. Bex is one of the best photographers in this country, full stop. The customer service is second to none. Her planning was so thorough – she pulled ideas out of me I didn’t even know I had, asked all the right questions in the lead-up, and made sure both of us knew exactly which photos I needed on the day. I’m not a branding photographer, so I didn’t fully know what I needed. Bex did.

She shot me in both London and Paris – at work photographing families, plus a whole series of headshots – and as always, she massively over-delivered. The gallery arrived bursting with incredible images and I genuinely didn’t know where to start. They’re now in permanent rotation as my profile photos everywhere: Instagram, my website, LinkedIn, my email marketing. Everywhere.

Bex is personable, kind, warm, funny and brilliant at what she does – and someone I’m now proud to call a friend, having started out as a client. There’s nobody else I’d let take photos of me.

“I’d been using the same couple of pictures throughout my website and relying on free stock photos so when I saw Jane’s photos by Bex on Instagram I was impressed and felt optimistic that Bex could help me.

​During our initial zoom call I felt that we got on well and the way Bex spoke about how she works got me excited, so I decided to book her Spectrum package.

​I felt well prepared for the shoot so I didn’t feel too nervous. I was really excited about having a variety of new photos to choose from.

“We knew how important brand photography was but didn’t know the best way to achieve it for our brand. We have images of our events but we didn’t have any that really reflected our personality and day-to-day business.

“This was our third photoshoot with Bex — bring it on!

“My experience working with Bex was really easy. She was very explanatory and the pre-shoot planning was very useful, the notes Bex provided were really useful to help me focus on what I wanted to achieve through my branding photography. Discussing who my audience is, what do the photos need to show and what I’m going to use them for, getting that all nailed down before was really crucial.

I felt very well looked after, it was nice to receive some chocolate, that was really sweet and on the day, Bex ran out and got me some newspapers to use in the shoot because I’d forgotten to get them, that was really helpful.

But more than that, she’s fun to be with and she’ll find unusual shots, she got some really interesting photographs of me in different situations or against backdrops that I hadn’t even considered and there was a fun element to the shoot that has come through in the photographs.
