Why Choose Me?
You’re here because you want to know what I’m actually like.
Will we get on? Do we share the same values? Can you trust me with something as personal as how your business looks to the world?
Those are absolutely the right questions to be asking.
So here’s the short version: I care deeply about your success, I’ll work my socks off to get you exactly what your business needs, and I genuinely love what I do. The longer version is below – random facts, family photos and all. 😉
But the most important thing? You won’t just walk away with beautiful photos. You’ll walk away feeling more confident, more clear about your brand, and more excited about showing up online than you’ve ever been.
If that sounds like what you need – you’re in the right place.

The Obvious Stuff

Hi, I’m Bex.
Photographer.
Storyteller.
Colour lover.
Part-time dentist.
Mum of twins.
I’m the person who’ll have you laughing within five minutes and then quietly notice the perfect light coming through the window while you’re mid-sentence.
As an internationally published, award-winning photographer your brand is safe in front of my lens. I’ve been doing this for over 20 years – and I still love it just as much as I did on day one.
I love many genres but brand photography is where everything clicks for me – the creativity, the people, the purpose.
During the first lockdown in 2020 I channelled that same passion into launching This Detailed Life, an international photography magazine that I founded and edited.

Family Life
We’re an adventurous bunch, we love travelling and local family-friendly festivals and events, although a cosy Sunday snuggled up with a film runs a very close second.
Moving to Sussex when I did was harder than I expected. I really struggled with loneliness and postnatal depression, and that experience has shaped everything about how I work with people. I’ve started a few charity projects as a result: donating a family session to a fellow PND sufferer, running my Hello Yellow fundraiser in 2019 for Young Minds, another headshot fundraiser in 2024 for The Rainbow Trust, and volunteering for the Gold Hope Project, donating family sessions to paediatric cancer patients.
It’s reminded me that being seen – really seen – matters. Which is probably why I care so much about getting it right for every single client.
And on a lighter note, here are a few of my personal favourite photos. 😉

My Photography Style
I didn’t set out to become a brand photographer.
I started photographing families…
Then one business owner asked…
Then another…
Before long I realised what I loved wasn’t just the photography.
It was helping people see themselves differently.
That’s still what gets me out of bed every morning.
My style is colourful, vibrant and full of personality – rich, impactful images that are impossible to scroll past. Why colour? Because it works. Eye-catching images grab attention, build recognition and help your business stand out in a crowded online world. (And don’t worry — that doesn’t have to mean rainbows!)
Whether we’re photographing you at work, behind the scenes or simply being yourself, my aim is always the same: authentic images you’ll be proud to share and genuinely excited to use.
I never stop learning. I attended the Click Away photography conference in Chicago in 2022 (one of the biggest in the world) and I now speak at business events and conferences myself as a guest expert. Because understanding business, not just photography, is what makes the difference.

I have even had other brands ask which photographer we use, which has never happened to me before."

How It All Began
As long as I can remember, I’ve enjoyed taking photographs. Back in the 80s I had an old pocket film camera that went everywhere with me.
But I really caught the bug during my round-the-world trip as a student in 2004. Travelling solo, making friends out of strangers, exploring places I’d only ever dreamed of — it’s an experience that has never left me.
The following summer I was given my first DSLR as a graduation present and fell in love with landscape, nature, travel and underwater photography, eventually selling prints at craft fairs in Scotland.

I never thought I’d photograph people – until I had my own little ones in 2014. After the heartache of what felt like a seemingly hopeless IVF journey, I wanted to document absolutely everything when our twins beat the odds. That desire to capture real, meaningful moments never really went away.
Since 2021 I’ve focused entirely on brand photography – and this is where I truly shine. I love seeing the transformation in my clients. I know I’m pretty good at it. (I’m actually bloody awesome at it – but it’s so cringey saying that about yourself, right?!)
