I’m delighted to announce that I am now one of the official photographers for the Uckfield Chamber of Commerce since April 2025. I’d helped them out occasionally when their other photographer, Matt Harquail was unavailable but as of this year, I am in charge of covering their breakfast networking meetings.
I thought I’d share a few of my favourites from the last couple of years here, including a few evening events where I’ve had to step in too.

I don’t often work events as I’m not a flash photographer, I work only with natural light and sometimes this isn’t enough for events, especially during the winter, indoors with the popularity of (my personal lighting nemesis) downlighters and spotlights in commercial properties. The only events I would usually accept as a commission would be festivals.

Thankfully Ian (the Chamber secretary) is aware of this and understands that sometimes he will receive a gallery of black & white images to help disguise the curse of awful ambient lighting.

Some of my favourite events have been the summer evenings at Bluebell Vineyard where I always take my camera regardless of whether Ian requests it.

And here’s the man himself, introducing the guest speaker at one of the breakfast meetings at Hendall Manor Barn…

I’m delighted to be a guest of the Chamber this autumn for the Community Awards at East Sussex National Hotel and Ian always has a kind word to say about my work, recommending me to other chamber members which is how I came to work with the lovely Elle at Adventures By.
Thanks Ian for your support 🙂
