You may have read about this little project under my "Projects" header, along with my Slow Photography Project and [intermittent] 365 project. I'm part of a community of UK & Ireland photographers and some of us signed up to this fun idea, sending around a dress for each of us to take photos of ourselves (or a model) in it. The dress selected is a frilly yellow maxi from New Look and I was third in line to photograph it.
You can follow along with the photos taken by all the photographers via Instagram or on the dress' very own blog, The Travelling Mustard. It has already been really interesting to see the various styles and locations each photographer has chosen to show it off.
So, here are my results. I had much more success when my friend Zoe modelled for me than when I tried self-portraits using my tripod. We had a lot of fun, prancing and frolicking about in a field of buttercups (I did have permission from the farmer).
I'll add a few from my solo shoot with self portraits soon. Thanks to Leila for organising this project and helping push me out of my comfort zone and to Zoe for being such a willing and fun model!
