Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year · The Claire Aho Award for Women Photographers
I’ve been sitting on this exciting news for a while and I’m thrilled to finally be able to share it.
I was shortlisted for the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year Awards 2021 – one of the most respected international food photography competitions in the world. My image was selected for The Claire Aho Award for Women Photographers, which makes it feel even more special.
The image itself is one of my absolute favourites – Priya, mid-bite into a juicy watermelon slice, caught in a completely natural, unposed moment of pure joy. It’s everything I love about detail and lifestyle photography: real, honest, full of feeling.

The full shortlist across all categories is genuinely inspiring – everything from harvest photography to beautifully styled food. If you love food photography, it’s well worth a browse →

Being shortlisted in an international competition focused on women photographers is something I’m particularly proud of. It’s a reminder that the quiet, spontaneous, detail-led shots – the ones that happen between the planned setups – are often the most powerful of all.
